KNIFE COURSE INFO

  • A fixed blade knife will be constructed from scratch. If you have the skills, I will help and show you how or you can watch while I do the work.

  • All materials will be provided. You can choose a knife shape from several templates or a design of your own.

  • The training takes place in spacious and well equipped workshop.

  • I love teaching so you will receive all the correct info you need, which is in line with the South African Knife-makers Guild standards.

  • It will be an informal, non rushed and enjoyable time in the workshop. I’ll show you all the ‘Tricks’ of the trade.

  • Refreshments and lunch will be provided.

  • The cost is R2000 per candidate. (You leave with a complete knife worth at least R1400).

  • There are guest houses in close proximity to my residence.

  • A complete manual of ±80 pages is yours with your knife. The duration of the course is two full days – 7h00 to ±17hoo — mid week or Friday and Saturday.
